The Constant Acceleration calculator uses the equation (a =(vf - vi )/t ) to compute the constant acceleration to achieve a final velocity (Vf) based on an initial velocity (Vi) of an object at time (t) of constant acceleration.

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

  • (Vi) Initial velocity
  • (Vf) Final velocity 
  • (t) time elapsed

Constant Acceleration (a): The calculator returns the acceleration in meters per second squared.  However, this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.
