Introduction

The Data Storage Units Calculator is used to convert the value of a bit into bytes and bytes to bit. A byte represents eight bits and is the most commonly used term relating to the amount of information stored within a computer’s memory while a bit is just a smaller unit of information than a byte. This calculator is meant to be used for scientific purposes only.

Converting Kilobyte to Byte

• The symbol for Kilobyte is KB.
• There are 0.0009765625 Kilobytes in a Byte.
• When converting kilobyte to byte, the following formula is applied: Bytes = Kilobytes * 1024.
