Electrical Switch

An Electrical Switch is a device that controls the flow of electricity in a circuit by opening (turning off) or closing (turning on) the connection between power and a device. It acts as a gate that allows or stops the movement of electrical current.

Types of Electrical Switches:

  • Toggle Switch – A common light switch that flips up or down.
  • Push Button Switch – Found in doorbells or power buttons.
  • Rocker Switch – Similar to a toggle switch but with a larger, flatter design.
  • Rotary Switch – Turns in a circular motion, like a volume knob.
  • Slide Switch – Moves side to side, often used in small electronics.
  • Relay Switch – Electrically operated switch used in automation.
  • Dimmer Switch – Adjusts brightness instead of simply turning on/off.
