Rita Hegeman

Rita Hegeman is a software engineer at vCalc.

Rita joined the team in 2021 after serving as the Director of Frostburg State University the Upward Bound Regional Math/Science Center for over 25 years.  In this role she used her background in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science to help low-income, first-generation high school students prepare to pursue college degrees in STEM. 

Rita enjoys problem solving and helping others, both of which she gets to do at vCalc.  Rita also is a DIYer and finds these vCalc calculators very helpful in her home remodeling projects:

For recreation, Rita enjoys outdoor activities like running/jogging/walking, biking, and gardening  She also is an avid crafter and sports photographer.
