The Drip Line Rate calculator computes the application rate for a drip line based on the drip line and emitter spacing and the emitter flow rate.

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

(EF) Emitter Flow Rate
(ES) Emitter Spacing
(DLS) Drip Line Spacing

Drip Line Application Rate (AR): The calculator returns the application rate in inches per hour. However, this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.

The Math

The Drip Line Application Rate equation is:

AR = EF / (ES • DLS)

where:

AR is the drip line application rate
EF is the emitter flow rate
ES is the emitter spacing
DLS is the drip line spacing.
