This equation finds the number of forecasts sold or reserved by taking into account the following:
Stayovers- In hotel businesses: Guests that will be staying more than one night.
Reservation- Rooms/Tables that are withheld for the time being in preparation for an incoming guest.
No-Shows- Guests that fail to take-up a reserved seating, without having cancelled the reservation.
Early Departures- Guests who leave earlier than what is agreed upon them and the management.
Overstays- Guests who opt to stay beyond the set limits or expected duration of what is agreed upon them and the management.
