This equation converts an input pressure value into units of grams/(cm⋅seconds2). Dynes are a more commonly used unit in the CGS system but there are occasions where this may be the output units you desire.
If you need to output with grams, centimeters and seconds as the units, and are converting from Pascals:
1 Pascal = 1 N/m2 = (1 kg m/sec2) /m2 = (103g⋅102 cm)/ (104cm2⋅sec2)
now perform the cancellations (103⋅105/104) = 10 and the numerator cm cancel leaving:
1 Pascal = 10 g / (cm*sec^2)
