The Pasta for Large Group calculator computes the amount of ingredients needed to prepare pasta and sauce for a group.
INSTRUCTIONS: Enter the following:
- (n) Number of People to be Served
Pasta for Group (PfG): The calculator returns the amounts of the following ingredients:
- Pasta (e.g. rotini or penne)
- Ground Beef
- Italian Sausage
- Marinara Sauce
- Parmesan Cheese
- Olive Oil
- Chopped Parsley
- Chopped Yellow Onion

- Large cloves of Garlic
Cooking Instructions
Preparing the Sauce
- Chop the yellow onions and parsley, and mince the garlic cloves
- Use a large skillet to heat the olive oil
- Add the chopped yellow onion and saute' until soft.
- Stir in the parsley
- Add marinara sauce
Cooking the Pasta
- Bring water to full boil
- Add salt
- Add pasta
- Cook at a boil unit tender but firm to bite (8 to 12 minutes for a pound of pasta)
- Drain in colander
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Combine pasta and sauce in warmed serving bowls for best result.

- 1 pound cooked pasta drained
- 3 cups Marinara Sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3/4 pound Italian sausage
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 3/4 cups chopped yellow onion

- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
