Hiro (written 尋) is a Japanese unit of length used for measuring depth. Conversion conventions in place since 1891 state that 1 Hiro is equivalent to 60/33 meters equating to 1.8181m, as such it is the same length as 1 Ken which is used for distance and length rather than depth. In terms of Japanese measurements, 1 Hiro is equivalent to 6 Shaku, however, some sources record 1 Hiro as 5 Shaku or 1.5152m.
