Enter a power of ten.  For example enter 3 for the 3rd power of 10 :  103

Notes

Multiplying by a power of ten moves the decimal place to the right.  In other words, it makes the result a larger number.

Multiplying by a power of ten moves the decimal place of the result the same number of places to the right as the exponent of ten.

MULTIPLY A DECIMAL

First pick a number to multiply.  Let's pick 322.5

If you multiply by 101 then the decimal place moves 1 place to the right.

      322.5 X 10^1 =  3225

If you multiply by 102 then the decimal place moves 2 place to the right.

      322.5 X 10^2 =  32250

If you multiply by 103 then the decimal place moves 3 place to the right.

      322.5 X 10^3 =  322500
