The Cistern Capacity Requirement functions calculates the minimum cistern volume needed to capture the roof runoff from the expected rainfall of a storm.

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

  • (CA) Catchment Area
  • (RF) Rain Fall (measured depth of rain expected)
  • (CE) Catchment Efficiency
Cistern Capacity Requirement (CCR): The calculator returns the volume storage requirement for a cistern to capture the expected amount of rainfall in gallons, liters and cubic meters.
