This formula provides the volume of a right pyramid of a base area (A)  and height (h).  The base area (A) is defined by a polygon of (n) equal sides within a circle of radius (r).

Notes

This formula is based on the standard volume of a pyramid which is 13 * baseArea * height.  It is also based on the area formula for a polygon that is inscribed within a circle 12nrsin(2πn).  The fractions of 13 and 12 have been combined into 16.
