The Worth your Weight in Gold calculator computes the current value of any weight in gold, platinum, palladium and silver

VALUE: The calculator returns the current value of the selected precious metal in U.S. dollars.   However, this can be automatically converted to other currency units via the pull-down menu.

The Math

To compute the value of the precious metal equal to your weight, the calculator converts the weight to Troy Ounces and then retrieves the latest spot price for the metal selected.  It then computes the current value of your weight in the precious metal.
