This equation verifies a valid combination of faction, race and class defines an existing World of Warcraft (WoW) character. You select a character defined by the character's faction, race and class combination and if it is a valid character in WoW, the class is returned.
Inputs
To choose a specific character you must select a valid combination of the following:
- Faction - there are two factions in World of Warcraft: Alliance and Horde. These two factions are enemies in regular game play
- Race - there are thirteen races represented in WoW. Each Alliance has six sworn Races and the thirteenth race, the Pandaren, will choose an Alliance after the character has achieved a higher level1
- Alliance Races : Drainei, Dwarf, Gnome, Human, Night Elf, Worgen
- Horde Races : Blood Elf, Goblin, Orc, Tauren, Troll, Undead
- Class - there are ten classes represented amongst the Races: Death Knight,Druid,Hunter,Mage,Monk,Paladin,Priest,Rogue,Shaman,Warlock,Warrior
Usage
This vCalc look-up will provide an equation in equation (EiE) for various simulation and analysis functions also built as vCalc equations. You can choose a character using this equation and then use the output choice in other equation analysis. The key logic for this equation is the knowledge of which Races belong to which Faction and which Classes are available to which Races.
If a valid combination of faction, race and class is input, the output is the class.
If an invalid combination of faction, race and class is input, the output is "Invalid combination of Faction, Race, and Class".
