This constant represents the Hartree energy (symbol: Eh or Ha).  This constant is the approximation of the electric potential energy of the hydrogen atom in its ground state and as such is considered the atomic unit of energy.

The Hartree Energy is expressed as units of electron-Volts (eV).

Notes

This constant is specified with a standard uncertainty (standard deviation) of: 0.000 000 60 eV

The atomic unit of energy is the hartree, named for the British physicist Douglas Hartree.

Hartree energy is a derived units in the Atomic System of Units.
