g-to-Tael (Taiwan)

The gram-to-Tael equation converts input grams into units of Taels (Taiwanese).  Grams are units in the Metric system.  The Tael is a part of the Chinese system of weights and currency.  The Taiwanese never adopted the Chinese conversion factor and the Tael is still used in some contexts.  These Tael units of measurement are usually used in the herbal medicine stores as well as gold and silver exchange.

There are different Tael conversions used in several Asian countries, including Hong Kong and Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, and China.
