The Percent Increase calculator computes the percent increase or decrease in a value given a starting value and a future value.
INSTRUCTIONS: Enter the following:
Starting Value
Ending Value
The calculator returns the percent change between the 2 values.
Calculating percentage increase is very simple. The first step is to subtract the starting value from the ending value. If you had a value increase from 10 to 15 you would do 15 - 10 to get 5. You then divide the difference by the starting value. In our example this is 5/10 which equals 0.5. Then to convert to a percent you multiply this value by 100, resulting in a 50% increase.
