The vector magnitude (2D) formula, `|r|=sqrt(Δx²+Δy²)`,/attachments/9308485e-e637-11e5-9770-bc764e2038f2/V2 - r.png Components of Vector r computes the magnitude of a two dimensional vector with an x and y component.

INSTRUCTIONS: Enter the following:

  • x) The x component of the vector.
  • y) The y component of the vector.

The calculator computes the magnitude of the vector (the length of r ) in kilometers.  However, this can be automatically converted to other length units via the pull-down menu.
