Change in time

The Delta t calculator computes the difference between two times, time 2 (t₂) and time 1 (t₁).  

INSTRUCTIONS:  Choose units and enter the following:

• (t₁) The initial reference time
• (t₂) The second reference time

Delta t (?t): The calculator returns the difference in seconds.  However, this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.

The Math / Science

The formula for the change in time is:

     ?t = t₂ - t₁

where:

• ?t is the difference in time between the two reference times.
• t₁ is time reference point one.
• t₂ is time reference point two.
