The Rebar Rough Estimate by Rebar to Concrete Density calculator estimates the total weight /attachments/a4a97f91-366d-11e8-abb7-bc764e2038f2/slab.png/attachments/a4a97f91-366d-11e8-abb7-bc764e2038f2/RebarGridNew.jpg Concrete Slab with one Rebar Grid mat of reinforcement bars (rebar) needed for a concrete slab based on the dimensions of the slab and a rough estimate of 80kg of rebar per cubic meter of concrete in the slab.

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

  • (L) Length of Slab
  • (W) Width of Slab
  • (D) Depth of Slab

Weight of Rebar (W):  The weight of rebar is returned in kilograms.  However, this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.

The Math / Science

The formula for the rough estimate weight of rebar in a slab (estimate 1) is:

           Wrebar = L • W • D • 80kg/m³
