The Maszara Model DBC Test is a type of bond characteristic. This model neglects shear stress as well as stress  in the un-cleaved part for the obtained crack lengths. The following formula is used: GIC=3E*δ2t316L4, where:

  • E* = Young's modulus
  • δ = load-point displacement
  • t = thickness of the beam
  •  L = crack length
