Meadow Lake Stable Cost

Monthly Stable Fee (MSF): The monthly fee is returned in U.S. dollars per month.

Stable Information

Meadow Lake Stables is a 31 acre horse boarding facility Herrington Manor State Park.  It's located at 2232 Herrington Manor Road in Oakland, Maryland 21550. 

Meadow Lake Stables has:

• Sixteen horse stalls in the main stable.
• Lighted indoor riding rink
• Lighted outdoor riding rink
• A heated lounge
• A heated restroom with shower.
• A heated tack room
• An indoor horse shower stall for use during non-winter seasons. 

Boarding services provided include Full-Boarding and Field-Boarding as follows:

Full-Board Services Includes ($400 per month):

• A dedicated stall in the main stable.
• Fresh water and hay every day in the stall
• Turnout to pasture every day unless there is severe weather, or if instructed by the horse owner due to animal health reasons.
• Blanketing when needed
• Hay supplemented in the fields during winter months. During the other seasons, our fields are well kept and have healthy foraging.
• Feeding twice daily of owner provided grain and supplements (e.g., vitamins and medications)
• Holding of animals during vet and farrier visits.

Field-Boarding Services Include ($300):

• Pasture with run-in.
• Fresh water and hay or forage in the field every day
• Feeding twice daily of owner provided grain and supplements (e.g., vitamins and medications)

Horse Owner Requirements:

• Pay the monthly fee at the beginning of every month
• Pay for any grain and supplements you prescribe for your horse.
• Schedule and pay for the farrier of your choice on a quarterly basis.  This is a health requirement policy at Meadow Lake Stables and is strictly enforced.
