This equation computes the force of fluid resistance experienced by a body moving through a fluid at a low speed.  At low speed the resistance force of the fluid is proportional to the body's speed and the coefficient of viscosity is characteristic of the fluid, the object's shape, and the object's size.

Inputs are:

• k - the coefficient of viscosity for the fluid
• v - the velocity of the object moving relative to the fluid.
