Dosage Calculation (Amount of Drug on Hand)

This formula computes the amount of drug on hand, the amount of the drug in mg that corresponds to the quantity of drug.  The inputs are the amount of drug to be administered to a patient, the quantity of the drug, and the desired dose  It reports the amount of drug on hand in milligrams (mg).

Variables:

• `X` = Amount to be administered 
• `D` = Desired dose
• `H` = Amount of drug on hand
• `Q` = Quantity of drug on hand

Equation:

      H = D * Q / X
