• (W) Width of Area needing Sod

Pieces or Rolls of Sod (n): The calculator returns the number of pieces or rolls of sod needed to cover the area.  The units are:

• 16" x 24" sod pieces
• 50 square yard pieces
• 12" x 40" sod roll
• 18" x 60" sod roll

This equations estimates the number of rolls of sod required to cover the given rectangle.
