A Vector is a quantity that has magnitude and direction that is commonly represented by a directed line segment whose length represents the magnitude and whose orientation in space represents the direction. Generally, a vector is an element of a vector space.
vCalc's Vector library contains basic vector mathematics demonstrating vectors in 2D and 3D. The functions for 2D vectors use →A and →B. The functions for 3D vectors use →U, →V, and →W.
The convention of an arrow over the name, as in →V indicates a vector quantity. A hat over the name, as in ˆV, implies a unit vector.
