The volumetric water content (Ω) is the volume of the water contained in a sample volume divided by the volume of the solid (dry mass equivalent) in that same volume.
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose the preferred units and enter the following:
- (VW) This is the volume of water
- (VT) This is the total volume
Water Percentage (Ω): The calculator returns the percent volume of water.
Notes
In engineering application the gravimetric water content is a measure of how wet the sample is.
