This NASCAR Track Lookup equation performs a look-up of various published values for attributes such as track length, angle of banking, surface type, etc. for NASCAR tracks.
INPUTS
Inputs to this lookup are:
- Track name (must be selected)
and for each track a selection from the following data for the chosen track:
- Track Length (miles)
- Banking Turn (degrees) - for as many as three turns if there are that many different banked turns in the track design
- Curve Radius (feet) - for as many as three turns if there are that many different banked turns in the track design
- Banking Straight Front Stretch (degrees)
- Banking Straight Back Stretch (degrees)
- Record Lap Speed (mph)
- Track Type - choice of Oval, Quad-Oval, D-Shape Oval, Road Course, or Tri-Oval
- Surface - choice of asphalt or concrete
