The dewpoint calculator computes a dewpoint based on the surface temperature and altitude of the cloud base.
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:
- (CB) Cloud Base
- (ST) Surface Temperature
dewpoint (DP): The temperature is returned in degrees Fahrenheit. However, these can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.

This is a basic formula to calculate dewpoint from the elevation of cloud base (feet) and the surface temperature (Celsius). This information is meant for illustrative purposes only.
