Flow through a tube

VF=areavelocity
Velocity
Cross Sectional Area

[Physiology | Cardiology | Heart Health] Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid which passes through a given surface per unit time. This is usually measured in the SI units of m3/s (cubic meters per second). In US customary Units this is measured as ft3/s.

Equations inputs are:

  • Velocity - the velocity at which the liquid is flowing through the tube
  • Cross-Sectional-Area - The area of the tube
