Hardwood Flooring

Hardwood flooring refers to a type of flooring made from real wood that is derived from deciduous trees. It's renowned for its durability, natural beauty, and timeless appeal. Typically, hardwood floors are manufactured from various species of hardwood such as oak, maple, cherry, walnut, and hickory.

Solid hardwood, not to be confused with laminate or engineered hardwood, is made from a single piece of wood, solid hardwood is milled from a solid piece of timber. It is generally thick and can be sanded and refinished multiple times, allowing it to last for generations. Solid hardwood is sensitive to moisture and temperature changes, so it's not recommended for areas with high humidity or moisture levels, such as basements or bathrooms.

Hardwood flooring comes in various styles, finishes, and colors, offering homeowners a wide range of options to complement different interior designs and preferences. Installation methods can include nail-down, glue-down, or floating installations, depending on the type of hardwood flooring chosen.

Maintaining hardwood floors typically involves regular cleaning, occasional refinishing to maintain its appearance, and protecting it from excessive moisture or direct sunlight, which can cause fading or damage.
