The Annular Velocity calculator computes the speed of a fluid's movement in an annulus while pumping based on the pump output (PO), the inner diameter of the pipe (ID), and the outer diameters of the drill pipe (OD)
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:
(Q) Pump output which is the flow rate of the pump.
(Dh) Size of the hole, the inner diameter.
(Dp) Outer diameter of the drill pipe.
Annular Velocity (AV): The calculator returns the fluid velocity in feet per minute. However, this can be automatically converted to other velocity units (e.g. meters per second) via the pull-down menu.
Time to Pump Deadweight Tonnage: Computes time to pump an amount of oil measured by DWT at a pumping rate. It also returns the volume pumped in barrels.
