Grass Seed (irregular area)

The Grass Seed Needed calculators computes the amount of grass seed                               AREA COVERED                   New Grass needed to plant an irregular shaped area such as a yard or field. 

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose your preferred units and enter the following:

• (a)  This is the length of side a in your yard or field.
• (b)  This is the length of side b in your yard or field.
• (c)  This is the length of side c in your yard or field.
• (d)  This is the length of side d in your yard or field.
• (D)  This is the length of the diagonal D through your area (see diagram).
• (U)  Choose the type of grass seed from the pull-down list:  Bahai, Bermuda, Centipede, Bluegrass, Kentucky 31, Rye-grass, Shade Mix, St.Augustine, Sun and Shade Mix, Tall Fescue, Zoysia.
