The Distance at Speed calculator computes the distance travelled over time at a constant speed..

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following;

  • (S) Speed
  • (t) Time (duration) at Speed

Distance at Speed (D):  The calculator returns the distance in miles.  However, this can be automatically converted to other length or distance units via the pull-down menu.

The Math / Science

The formula for distance traveled at a constant speed is:

D = s * t

where:

  • D = Distance Traveled
  • s = speed (velocity)
  • t = duration of travel
