The Price per Square Feet Survey Tool computes the min, max, mean, median dollars per square feet for a sample of tiles based their area and prices, where the area is in square feet and prices are in dollars.
INSTRUCTIONS: Enter rows of three numbers separated by commas:
- TD(A,P) Area in Square Feet and Price in dollars
- Data is entered as a table of rows containing comma separated values (see example below)
- (RC) Report Choice of STATS for SORT.
Price per Square Feet Survey Stats: The tool returns the following for the set of values entered.
- (n) Number of Samples
- (Avg) Average Price per Area in USD/ft²
- (Min) Minimum Price per Area in USD/ft²
- (Max) Maximum Price per Area in USD/ft²
- (Med) Median Price per Area in USD/ft2
- (MP) Midpoint Price per Area in USD/ft²
- (Rng) Range of Prices per Area in USD/ft²
- (SURVEY):
- Price Points: Economy, Low, Mid, High, Premium
- Sample Size: n
If RC is set to SORT, the Price per Area is computed and appended to each tile option. This list is then sorted by Price per Area from least to most expensive.

- Board Price Survey Tool: (Inch, Feet, Price) Computes the sample size, min, max, mean, median, midpoint and range of dollars per square feet for a sample of boards based their lengths, widths and prices, where the board widths are in inches, lengths in feet and prices are in dollars. It also has a sort function for the input data. This is useful for flooring boards, siding, and some roofing products.
- Length Width Price Survey Tool: (Feet, Feet, Price) Computes the sample size, min, max, mean, median, midpoint and range of dollars per square feet for a sample of products based their lengths, widths and prices, where the length and widths are in feet and prices are in dollars. It also has a sort function for the input data. This is useful for flooring boards, siding, and some roofing products.
- Square Feet Pricing Survey Tool: (Square Feet, Price) Computes the sample size, min, max, mean, median, midpoint and range of dollars per square feet for a sample of tiles based their area and prices, where the area is in square feet and prices are in dollars. This is useful in many flooring applications such a carpet.
- Tile Price Survey Tool: (Inch, Inch, Price) Computes the sample size, min, max, mean, median, midpoint and range of dollars per square feet for a sample of tiles based their lengths, widths and prices, where the lengths and widths are in inches and prices are in dollars. This is useful for ceramic tile, carpet tile, ceiling tile, pavers.
