The Pipe Flow Weight calculator computes accumulated weight of an amount of fluid based on the flow rate, duration of flow and density of fluid..

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

  • (FR) Flow Rate
  • (D) Duration of Flow
  • (mD) Density of Fluid (default: water)

Pipe Flow Volume Weight (M): The weight of the accumulated flow is returned in pounds.  However, these can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.

The Math / Science

The Pipe Flow Volume Weight equation calculates the mass or weight of a substance from a conduit.

The formula for the Pipe Flow Volume Weight is:

M = FR * D *mD
