The Polygon Slab Cost calculator estimates the cost of concrete in a polygon shaped concrete slab.

• (n) Number of Polygon Sides
• (r) Radius to Polygon Vertices from the center of the polygon, i.e., the radius of the circle in which the polygon is inscribed
• (d) Depth of Concrete
• (uP) Unit Price per Cubic Yard of Concrete
• (DL) Delivery Cost

Polygon Slab Cost (TC): The estimated cost of delivery charges are included as an input. These charges can vary significantly based on location.

Usage

This equation could be employed to estimate the cost of the concrete slab used as a base for various patio and gazebo projects.  The DIYer should remember to include delivery charges in the total concrete component cost.

For a Gazebo

Some gazebo designs include cut-outs at the vertices of the poured slab to accommodate the main vertical posts of the gazebo or for other overhead structure.  A Gazebo very often has a smaller footprint than the total slab.  There can be slab concrete beyond the sides of the gazebo.  So, remember to include in any plan for the slab additional length to the radial distance, r, to accommodate a slab design extending beyond the walls of the gazebo.

If the slab is thick or you have a raised floor, you may consider pouring a concrete step at the same time as the slab and so would want to consider that additional concrete requirement.
