The Side Length of a Polygon Slab calculator computes the length of the sides of a polygon slab.

This equation is used to compute the length of the sides of a concrete slab that is being poured in a regular polygon shape. This length would tell you how long to cut the retaining members (form boards) to create the polygon. Remember that the mitered corner extends beyond the polygon slab's vertices and this length of the polygon side is the inner dimension to the point of the joint touching the slab. So, to accommodate the mitered corner, you have to make the retaining members slightly longer and cut the angle of the joint at the length defined by this equation.
This could be used to determine the length of the sides of a polygon created in wood, as well as in concrete, so this equation applies to Carpentry as well.
