The Volume of a Pentahedron calculator computes the volume based on the length of the sides of the base and the height./attachments/55363c66-42bf-11e5-a3bb-bc764e2038f2/Pentahedron.png

INSTRUCTION: Choose units and enter the following:

  • (a)  Length of the Sides of Base
  • (h)  Height

Pentahedron Volume (V): The volume is returned in cubic meters. However this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.

The Math / Science

The Pentahedron Volume equation computes the volume based on the length of the uniform sides (a) and the height (h) from the base to the apex.  The formula for the volume of a pentahedron is:

          `V =  1/3 * a^2 * h `

where:

  • V = Volume of the Pentahedron
  • a = length of the sides of the base
  • h = height
