The Linear Velocity from RPMs calculator computes the linear velocity based on the rotation rate (R) and the diameter of the wheel (D).

Calculate Linear Velocity from RPMS:

  1. Choose units
  2. Enter the rotation rate (R)
  3. Enter the outer diameter (D)

Linear Velocity (V): The calculator returns velocity in meters per second.  However, this can be automatically converted to other velocity units via the pull-down menu.

The Linear Velocity from RMPs can be found using the following formula: 

    `v=(2pi)/60*r*N`
