A wedge is geometrically a three dimensional triangle with triangular ends.  The formula for the volume of a wedge is:

V = ¹/₂ ⋅ W ⋅ D ⋅ H

where

• V = Volume of the Wedge
• W = Width
• D = Depth
• H = Height
