Basket Making Directions with Loose Lining:

• Supplies
  • 2 pieces of outer fabric cut to size a, b, and c
  • 2 pieces of lining fabric cut to size a, b, and c
  • 2 pieces of interfacing cut to size a, b, and c
  • 2 pieces for handle
• Instructions
  1. Cut fabric, lining and interfacing based on dimensions a, b, and c
  2. Cut fabric for handle
  3. Attach interfacing to wrong side of outer fabric and handle
  4. with right sides together, sew outer fabric pieces together along the bottom (where cutouts are)
  5. press seam open and topstitch
  6. with right sides together, stitch outer fabric pieces together along side seams
  7. press seam open and topstitch
  8. box bottom (match bottom seam to side seam and stitch the diagonal)
  9. flip right side out
  10. attach handles to sides - equal distance from side seam - with 1/4" seam allowance
  11. REPEAT steps 4-8 for lining
  12. place outside fabric INTO lining (right sides together)
  13. sticth top leaving a gap to flip 
  14. flip and topstich top edge
