Christmas Tree Decorations Calculator

This calculator is used to help make a perfect decoration for your Christmas tree. The equations used are based on a research by math students from the university of Sheffield.

The four equations are used to compute :

• Height of the Christmas tree's Star
• Length of Tinsel
• Length of lights
• Number of Baubles

History

A lot of the Christmas Tree history points to the nation of Germany. The Christmas encyclopedia indicates that Martin Luther (1483 - 1546) , the protestant reformer, was the first person to decorate a Christmas tree (Tanya, 2000). Luther got  inspired by the beauty of the stars shining between the branches of a fir tree, causing him to chop down and carry home an evergreen tree which he decorated with candles in order to replicate his initial experience for his children.
