READ CAREFULLY.  This dosage calculator is for 50 mg/ml pyrantel pamoate, found in Columbia Laboratories Pyrantel Pamoate or Oral Pro Pyrantel Pamoate. 

Weigh your puppies first!!   One dose for one day.

Administer to your puppies FOR ONE DAY ; ONE DOSE ; EVERY 2 WEEKS at 2,4,6,8,12 weeks.

Current recommendations from the CDC and the American Association of Veterinary Parasitologists are to provide deworming medications against roundworms and hookworms at 2 weeks of age, repeating the dewormer every 2 weeks until the pups are 2 months old.

The Columbia Labs and Oral Pro bottles are quite simply very inexpensive compared to all the tablet brands you can purchase with the same amount of pyrantel pamoate.  

ABOUT THE CALCULATION

Puppies UNDER 5 lbs. require a higher dose per pound than those OVER 5 lbs. of pyrantel pamoate.  This calculation computes a 4.55 mg/lb dosage when a dog is under 5 lbs.  When a dog is over 5 lbs, the calculator computes with a dosage of 2.27 mg/lb.
