The Molality equation is used to solve for the amount of substance of solute divided by the mass of the solvent, where:

  • (nsolute ) Amount of Solute
  • (msolvent) Mass of Solvent

Molality (m): The equations returns the molality in moles per kilogram (mol/kg). However, this can be automatically converted to other molality units via the pull-down menu.
