Circular Velocity

The Velocity calculator computes the magnitude of the instantaneous velocity (V) in uniform Circular Motion circular motion as a function of the circumference (c) and period of rotation (T).

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

• (c)  Circumference of the circular orbit.
• (T) Period of the circular orbit.

Velocity (V): The calculator returns the magnitude of velocity in meters per second.  However, this can be automatically converted into other velocity units via the pull-down menu.
