The copper x unit (Cu x unit) is the wavelength of the K-alpha emission line of copper.
The x unit is physics unit used to describe the wavelength of gamma rays and X-rays. It was originally developed by Manne Siegbahn (1886-1978), a Swedish physicist, to describe the space between planes of calcite crystals in measurement equipment at a standard temperature (18° C).
