The Small Boat Capacity equation calculates the estimated number of maximum occupants that can safely be carried on a boat that is under 20 feet long OR one that is lacking a capacity plate. 

INSTRUCTIONS: Enter the following

  • (L) The length of the boat
  • (B) The beam of the boat (width of the widest part)

(C) The estimated maximum capacity of the boat: The capacity is returned as the estimated number of people that can be safely carried by the boat
