vy=v0-gt
Initial Velocity
Time Elapsed

The Vertical Velocity equation, vy=v0gt , calculates the vertical velocity after some time, t, due to the initial velocity and the force of gravity.

INPUTS

The following are the inputs to this equation:

  • v0 - initial velocity of the object
  • t - the time elapsed, and the gravitational constant

Author:  Merlin

Notes

The acceleration due to gravity is assumed to be the gravitational acceleration at sea level
