The Volume of a Sphere from Mass and Density calculator computes the volume of a sphere based on the mass and density. /attachments/c82df510-9b8b-11eb-9e81-bc764e203090/SphereVolume-illustration.png

INSTRUCTIONS:  Choose units and enter the following:

Sphere Volume (V): The Volume of the Sphere is returned in cubic meters.  However, this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.  The calculator also returns the radius of the sphere (r) based on the volume.

The Math / Science

The equation for the volume of a sphere is as follows:

           V = 4/3•π•r³

The formula for density is:

The two formulas are combined in this calculator:

  • V =  M/σ

Note: the volume of a sphere is also: V = 4/3•π•r³
